MHRA Announces Creation of Ms. Young Restaurant Professionals Network
The Ms. Young Restaurant Professionals network is design to provide a web based forum for sharing best practices, social networking and on going education and marketing for restaurant employees under the age of 30. There is no cost to particpate. We are actively asking restaurant employees under 30 to become part of this network by registering at www.msyoungrp.ning.com
Special Notice for Flowood Operators seeking ABC licenses: There is no need to get in a hurry. The local ordinance will have to be drafted and approved by the city aldermen, which could be 60-90 days away. Only then will the ABC start taking applications for on-premise retailers. It may well be October before any licenses are granted. If you need assistance with the application process, or have questions, please call Grady Griffin at the MHRA at 601-608-0227.

Bill allows for customers to take home partially consumed bottles of wine
With the passage of HB1434, Mississippians will soon be able to take their unfinished bottle of wine home from a hotel, restaurant or club. There are some rules, though, including the need for the bottle to be placed in a bag “that is secured in such a manner so that it will be visibly apparent if the bag is opened.” Read Press Release
