MRAEF Sponsorship Opportunities

Contributions to the MRAEF are tax deductible to the limit our 501c3 designation allows, so click here to learn how your financial support can help.  Gifts can be made for specific sponsorships to ProStart schools, Teacher Training, The MS ProStart Invitational, or to the MRAEF Scholarship Endowment Fund.

Scholarship Opportunities

The MRAEF is proud to provide scholarship funding to deserving students pursuing a post secondary degree in restaurant management or culinary arts.Students pursuing a 4 year degree are eligible for scholarships of up to $2000 while students pursuing a two year degree are eligible for up to $500.

MRAEF General Scholarship

If you meet the following qualifications, you may apply for a scholarship. 

• Must be enrolled in a restaurant management or culinary arts program at an accredited university or culinary school.
• Must have a minimum of 2.75 overall GPA
• Must have work experience in the restaurant or foodservice industry.
• Must complete a 750 word essay describing your goals and objectives for a career in the restaurant industry.

Tom Cook Memorial Scholarship $2000

In honor of Tom Cook, a long time member of the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Restaurant Association, the MRAEF has created a $2000 scholarship in his name.

• Candidates for this scholarship must be employed by a member in good standing of the Mississippi Hospitality & Restaurant Association and be enrolled in a qualified food service or management related program. To apply, call Mike at the MHRA office.
